WHY IS THERE A VETTING FEE FOR THE DATABASE?
To ensure every member you meet is as serious, safe, and well-presented as you are. We invest significant time into manually reviewing every Bespoke applicant.
WHAT AGE GROUP IS THIS FOR?
Our events are for adults aged 24 and older, unless stated otherwise on the event page.
IS THIS DATING?
Yes. Beyond the Bar provides dating and companionship services through structured speed connection events that help adults meet compatible partners in a safe, moderated environment.
Our events facilitate real-time introductions between participants interested in dating, companionship, and meaningful romantic relationships. Participants choose independently whether to continue communication after the event.
HOW DO THE ONLINE EVENTS WORK?
All online events are hosted live.
During the session, you’ll meet different participants in small breakout rooms. You’ll see a limited profile for each person, which may include:

♦ Area
♦ Hobbies and interests
Conversations are not scripted or guided. You’re encouraged to use the profile details as a starting point and let the conversation flow naturally.
DO YOU GUARANTEE I'LL MEET SOMEONE I LIKE?
Connection is personal and depends on timing, group dynamics, and compatibility.
Beyond the Bar provides the space and structure - the outcome is always individual.
WHAT IF I DON'T CONNECT WITH ANYONE?
That can happen, and it’s completely normal.
Because experiences are subjective, refunds are not provided based on personal outcomes.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN'T ATTEND?
All bookings are final and non-refundable, including no-shows.
If an event is cancelled by Beyond the Bar, you’ll receive a credit or refund.
ARE EVENTS RECORDED?
Online events are live and not recorded by Beyond the Bar.
Participants are expected to respect everyone’s privacy and not record, screenshot, or share any part of an event without consent.
IS IT SAFE?
Events are hosted and moderated, and clear conduct guidelines apply.
While we take safety seriously, Beyond the Bar cannot control individual behaviour. Participants are encouraged to report anything that feels inappropriate.
WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE BREACHES CONTUCT STANDARDS?
Please report concerns to us as soon as possible.
We investigate all reports and may issue warnings, suspend, or permanently remove profiles at our discretion.
HOW IS MY DATA STORED AND FOR HOW LONG?
Your data is stored securely and used only for:

♦ Matching and session logistics
You may request deletion at any time, or your data will be removed automatically after a period of inactivity.
